Designed by renowned architect, Daniel Burnham, and operating since 1908, Washington, DC’s Union Station has been a historical landmark for over a century. Known for being one of the most iconic destinations in Washington, DC, Union Station is not just a train station, rather, it has three levels of retail including dining venues and shopping available to the over 40 million people that visit it each year.
DC’s Gateway is now making room for some additional faces. These new faces won’t be so transient as they will be able to call Union Station “home”. At least from the hour of 9AM-5PM. Enter, “The Offices at Union Station”.
The office space is divided in a manner consistent with the building itself. The East and West towers border Union Station’s Main Hall which forms a natural separation between both towers.
If entering from Union Station’s red line, you will enter the office space on the West Tower via doors directly off the escalator from the metro. Inside, the West Tower offers three floors of office space totaling 38,000 SF. The second and third floors each have 10,000 SF available and the 4th floor has two suites; a 12,000 SF block as well as a smaller 6,000 SF block along the front of the station. Each suite is currently wide open and exposed ceilings and floors, providing a blank canvas for a future tenant to customize as they see fit.
The East Tower is significantly larger boasting 78,000 SF spread between the three floors. Each floor forms a U around an ornate open ceiling which looks down to the lower levels. The bold combination of exposed industrial mixed with elements of Union Station’s elegant trimmings gives a very unique flare to what will be someone’s future office.
Each floor offers views of the Capitol but the 4th floor includes private terraces, large skylights and stone archways leading from one wing to another. It is a backdrop for a designer’s dream.
If you are a user looking for as little as 6,000 SF or north of 50,000 SF, Union Station may be a one-of-a-kind option to consider. The 2nd and 3rd floors are being marketed in the $60’s PSF, Full Service and north of $70 PSF for the 4th floor. Interested in touring? Let us know!
