Launched in June 2018 by Newmark Knight Frank, the innovative tech space at 151 N Franklin is a stunner. Already an icon in the neighborhood, it represents the best of modern Chicago. Breathtaking innovation, forward-looking sustainability, and a beautiful and efficient space combine into a one-of-a-kind workplace experience. Just take a look at the excellent video below from the 2018 launch:

Innovative Building

This 35-story building was developed by the John Buck Company and designed by Chicago-based John Ronan Architects (see more of their projects, including the Poetry Foundation headquarters and new Obama Presidential Library, here). 151 N Franklin was designed as an intuitive, innovative tech space, allowing for lower operating costs, while its sleek tech look and open atmosphere make it a hub of development. The extraordinary design has already attracted the best and brightest: the building was 92% leased at delivery, with tenants including Facebook (260,000 RSF), CNA Insurance (300,000 RSF) and Hinshaw & Culbertson (120,000 RSF).

From garage to rooftop, this building is thoughtfully designed for an extraordinary employee experience. It’s intended to promote a healthy lifestyle through a seamless integration of outdoor and indoor spaces, including a four-story covered plaza, second-story terrace, and rooftop sky garden with unobstructed 360-degree views of the skyline. In addition to providing a rejuvenating respite, these areas encourage connection and provide a variety of third space options for those who want to work beyond the desk.

The interior is just as optimized, with amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, executive parking, conference and collaboration areas, destination dispatch elevators, and round-the-clock security. It’s committed to ongoing sustainability, with tenant monitored and controlled energy usage and a supplemental solar electrical system. As one of the most technologically advanced office spaces in Chicago, the building works closely with IMG Connect to ensure tenants have the reliable, flexible, and secure connectivity that they need to get business done, earning them a Wired Certified Platinum. The customized mobile application allows tenants to view and manage their amenities, security provisions, and much more — check out the brochure below for details:
