A quick stat for you: in mid-2009 there was approximately 4.25M square feet “SF” of sublease office space available in the CBD of Chicago. Just last month the Chicago CBD was reported to have 4.26M SF of sublease office space available. This is the first time since 2009 that Chicago has had more than 4M SF of sublease space available. What does this mean for tenants? Consider all leasing scenarios when evaluating your next real estate move.
Here is an example of a new sublease space available in the much coveted Fulton Market neighborhood:
The 1KFulton Building is home to Google and other high-growth tech tenants. At the corner of Fulton Market and Carpenter Street one of the hottest tech markets is outside the front door.
Included in the communal space is a reception area, library, rooftop (as shown above), bike room, heated parking, fitness center, shuttle service, dog park, and conference rooms.
As shown: Open-floor configurations with dramatic 17’5″+ ceiling heights. For more details and comments to the above sublease opportunity, or others like it, click HERE to email me.
